본 연구는 일탈적 성적 기호를 측정하는 방식 중에서 주의의 양을 측정하는 인지적 접근 방식인 응시시간(VT)을 측정하는 방식을 활용한 한국판 소아성애 평가도구(KASI) 개발 연구이다. KASI를 이용하여 자극의 VT 측정을 통해 소아성애자와 성인 대상 성범죄자의 반응의 차이를 살펴보았다. 결과에 의하면, 소아성애자들은 성인 대상 성범죄자들에 비해 아동 자극에 대한 반응 시간이 더 긴 것을 알 수 있으며, 특히 여아 자극에 대한 반응 시간이 유의미하게 긴 것을 알 수 있었다. 반면에 성인 대상 성범죄자들은 성인 자극, 특히 여성 자극에 대한 반응 시간이 소아성애자들에 비해 유의미하게 더 긴 것을 알 수 있었다. 아울러 KASI의 아동 선호 예측 정확률은 AUC .81로 우수한 결과를 보여주었다. 또한 사진 자극에 대한 자기보고식 매력도 평가와 자극의 응시시간이 유의미한 정적상관을 보였다는 점과 자기보고식 성적기호 분류 질문지(KSICQ)에서 아동과의 성적 행위에 대한 질문지의 평가와 자극의 응시시간이 유의미한 정적상관을 보였다는 점은 매력을 느끼는 대상에 대해 주의가 더 많이 사용된다는 점을 보여주는 결과라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 결과들은 KASI가 형사사법 현장에서 재범위험도 높은 소아성애 성범죄자들을 판별하는 도구로 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다는 점을 시사한다.
Abstract
This study developed the Korean version of Abel Assessment of Sexual Interest (KASI) measuring viewing time onto the specific sets of pictures which was one of the cognitive measurement methods of attention. It was explored how different sex offenders with pedophilia might react compared to the general sex offenders in viewing process. Statistical analyses presented that sex offenders with pedophilia watched significantly longer the pictures of girls even though they answered girls were not so attractive. On the other hand, general sex offenders paid more attention to the pictures of female adults with longer viewing time. A ROC curve was produced with strong power of criterion differentiation with AUC of .81. Proper validity evidences were gathered with positive correlations between KASI and KSICQ measures. These results presented KASI must be a useful measure to differentiate sex offenders with pedophilia who were known to have the highest possibility of recidivism.
