한국 영화 교육의 국제화에 대한 연구

Abstract

The film education in Korea should become globalization. The purpose of this globalization is to create global filmmakers and build an overseas network. At present, the world film production environment requires globalization. We, now, should train manpower of Korean filmmakers in order to deal with globalized film market immediately. This globalization makes it possible to extend Korean filmmakers abroad with ability of global co-production. In addition, building up the future of amicable filmmaker’s network towards Korean films is primarily in Asia, Europe and America. As a result, Korean films will have windows of opportunity to active global co-production and attract more film location shooting in Korea. Furthermore, we expect to undertake post production of global co-production projects and make a significant contribution to Korean film industry in the future. In Hollywood, earning a total income of 60% is in overseas market. In European countries, 70% of films are produced by EU or global co-production. We have to recognize that globalization is integral to the survival of Korean film industry in the long run. We should not look over that globalization not only in film education but in university level of education. As a history shown, film department in universities, KAPA and Film and TV in Karts, remarkable success up to recently, have brought up manpower by now. The globalization will play a significant role in Korean films to step up and it is about time to change in today’s fast-paced film market.
