초록

본 연구는 동물상징 성격유형검사(ASPT)를 활용하여 트라우마를 경험한 부모상실 아동을 대상으로 아동의 트라우마에 대한 이해도를 높이고 아동심리치료에 도움이 되는 기초자료 제공을 목적으로 성격유형과 성격특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 동물상징성격유형검사(ASPT) 매뉴얼의 분석방법에 따라 자료를 분석하였으며 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 트라우마를 경험한 부모상실 아동의 성격유형은 첫째, 생존과 안전을 얻기 위해 에너지를 집중하는 주도/통제와 경계/방어의 성격유형으로 나타났다. 둘째, 환경에 적응하기 위해 에너지를 집중하는 적응 수동과 수용/화목의 성격유형이다. 셋째 현실 회피적 성향이 있는 이상/비현실과 자유/산만의 성격유형의 순으로 나타났다. 성격특성으로는 생존과 안전을 추구하는 성격특성, 환경에 적응하고자 하는 성격특성, 자유를 추구하는 현실도피의 성격특성의 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 이와 유사한 특수 상황에 있는 아동들에게 유용한 정보를 제공했다는 것에 의의가 있다.

Abstract

This study aims to provide basic data to enhance understanding trauma in children with parental loss and help child psychotherapists by examining personality types and traits of children who have experienced traumatic loss of their parents using online Animal Symbol Personality Type(ASPT) Assessment. The data was analyzed according to the manual of ASPT and the results are as follows. The personality type of children with traumatic loss of parents shown in the Animal Symbol Personality Type(ASPT) Assessment was first, Initiatives/Control and Boundaries/Defences that pursue survival and safety. The second type was Adaptation/Passiveness and Accommodation /Harmony that focuses energy on adaptation to environment. The third type was Ideal/Non-realistic and Free/Distracted personality which tends to avoid reality. The personality traits of children with traumatic loss of parents were known to be firstly, seeking survival and safety, secondly, adapting to environment, and thirdly, avoiding reality by seeking freedom. The results of this study are expected to be useful for children experiencing similar traumatic situations and to contribute as programs and useful materials to help children understand themselves and others.
