놀이치료에 나타난 적응전략과 갈등전략 사용 특징 분석: 아동의 특성에 기초하여

초록

본 연구는 부적절한 부모-자녀관계로 애착형성에 문제와 전반적인 대인관계에 부적응 행동을 나타내는 아동 4명에게 놀이치료를 실시하고 각각 그들의 성장배경, 부모양육태도, 정서표현양식, 의사소통 방식, 문제해결 방식 등 아동의 특성과 관련하여 그들이 놀이치료 과정에서 사용한 적응전략과 갈등전략의 특징을 분석하였다. 분석은 대상 아동 4명의 64회기(1인 16회기) 놀이치료 전 과정을 훈련된 두 명의 관찰자가 Chazan(2002)의 극복-방어전략 중 적응/갈등전략의 사용 빈도를 녹화된 DVD를 통하여 평가함으로 이루어졌다. 연구결과 첫째, 불안이 높고 부모와의 관계가 더 부정적일수록 그렇지 않은 아동보다 갈등전략 사용 비율이 높았으며, 정서적 및 언어적 표현이 많은 아동은 전체 전략 사용 빈도가 높았다. 둘째, 생육 환경이 열악할수록 초기부터 갈등전략 사용이 많고 중기 1, 2시기까지 빈도가 높게 나타났다. 반대로 놀이치료 과정에서 부모의 태도가 긍정적으로 변화됨에 따라 적응전략 사용이 높게 나타났음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 지적 및 언어발달 수준이 높은 아동은 예견 전략을 더 사용하는 경향이었다. 넷째, 동일시 전략과 투사 전략을 많이 사용한 아동은 엄마와 아기 역할극놀이를 통하여 그 전략을 대부분 드러냈다. 따라서 본 연구는 아동이 심리적, 경험적 특징에 따라 전략 사용을 양적, 질적으로 분석하여 치료사가 어떤 역할을 할 수 있을지에 관한 시사점을 제공하였다는 의의가 있다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analysis the tendency of adaptive and conflicted strategies used at play therapy sessions in connection with children's personal and environmental characteristics like child-rearing attitude of parents, modes of emotional expression, communication style aspects. The subjects were 4 children with mother-child inadequate relationship resulting from attachment and interpersonal relationship problems. All of 16 sessions were ran for 50 minutes once a week by a therapist for every children. Total of 64 sessions recorded DVD were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively by two trained observers. As a result, the first, the conflicted strategies were overused higher anxiety and more negative mother-child relationship of children than they were not. The children using a lot of emotional, verbal expressions had high frequency of the entire strategies. The second, the children who didn't experience appropriate child-rearing environment more tend to use conflicted strategies highly from initial to middleⅠ& Ⅱ period. On the other hand, their adaptive strategies increased according to parental attitude changes in the process of play therapy. The third, the children on a higher level of intellectual and language development tend to use more anticipation strategies. The forth, the children with high frequency of identification and projection strategies exposed most of strategy through mother-child role play. This study analyzing the characteristics of copying strategies in connection with children's psychological and experiential characteristics provide implications what role can the therapist.
