청소년 폭력 가해와 피해의 중첩성에 관한 연구

본 연구는 학교폭력 가해 및 피해의 중첩성을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 2012년 서울의 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학생 2,044명을 대상으로 “학교안전 실태 탐색 설문조사” 데이터를 사용하여 학교폭력 집단유형의 형태를 확인하고, 가해와 피해 사이에 나타나는 관련성과 집단형태를 예측하는 변수들을 탐색하기 위한 통계분석을 시도하였다. 가해와 피해경험에 따라 ‘무경험, 가해, 피해, 중첩’의 4집단으로 구분하고, 집단 간 특성의 유사점과 차이점을 살펴보았다. 분석결과 청소년의 폭력행동에 있어서 가해와 피해 간에는 서로 상관관계가 존재하며, 가해와 피해경험이 중첩된다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 이는 기존에 가해자에 적용되는 분석틀이나 원인론 등을 범죄피해자에게 적용했던 기존의 연구들과 유사한 결과이며 중첩성을 간접적으로 검증하는 기회가 되었다. 추후에는 시간의 흐름에 따라 가해와 피해를 연계시킨 다양한 후속연구가 필요가 하다고 하겠다.
Abstract
This study starts with a point of view that violence offending and victimization occur to not all the people, but people who have similar characteristics and there are certain relationship between offending and victimization. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the overlap between offending and victimization among juvenile violence. This study uses a secondary survey data about school violence researched in 2012, and the subjects of the study are 2,044 students from elementary school to high school in Seoul. The model was consisted of variables suggested from social learning theory, social control theory, general strain theory, self-control theory, and routine activity theory. With regard to the first research problem, juveniles are divided into 4 groups(offending, victimization, overlap, and non-experience group). Offending experience and victimization experience frequency has been examined, and it is identified that the overlap group was existed with low proportion. The limitation of this study is the order of offending and victimization could not be recognized clearly. Therefore, understanding of the relationship and the causes of the order of offending and victimization should be complemented with further study.
