현재 일부 중소형 조선업체들이 적자가 누적되는 악순환에 빠져들고 조선 경기 후퇴가 염려되는 심각한 상황에 처해있다. 국내에서 강선을 건조하는 중소형 업체들 가운데 2006년 조선경기 호황에 뒤늦게 시설투자에 나선 곳들이 많은 실정이며 경영관리에 어려움을 호소하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 국내 조선업의 자본, 종업원 수, 매출액 및 당기순이익에 따른 효율성을 DEA기법으로 분석하는 것으로서 벤치마킹의 대상이 될 수 있는 조선업체의 경영효율성을 분석하였다. 총 50개 조선업체들의 CCR, BCC 효율성과 규모수익성(RTS)을 평가하여 벤치마킹의 대상이 될 수 있는 업체들을 선정하여 제시하였다. 효율성 분석결과 국내 조선업체들 중 CCR효율성이 1인 업체는 6개 기업으로 나타났으며, BCC효율성이 1인 업체는 14개 기업으로 분석되었다. 규모수익성은 IRS가 8개 기업, DRS가 29 기업, CRS가 13개의 기업이다.
Abstract
Presently some of the small-and-medium sized Korea shipbuilding corporations are facing severely increasing management deficits that are causing negative effects for the future promotion of shipbuilding industry in Korea. This negative management factor in shipbuilding industry is especially serious for those who are largely invested in the shipbuilding facilities around 2006 when the shipbuilding industry had been booming. As the main purpose of this research is to evaluate the efficiency according to equity, number of employees, sales, and net income using the DEA model, the management efficiency of the shipbuilding industry that was the object of benchmarking was evaluated. A total of 50 shipbuilding manufacturers' CCR, BCC efficiency and return to scale (RTS) were evaluated. Also, the corporations that can become the object of benchmarking were selected based on the analyzed data. The results of the efficiency analysis showed 6 corporations to have CCR efficiency of 1 and 14 corporations to have BCC efficiency of 1. In terms of return to scale, there were 8 corporations with IRS, 29 corporations with DRS, and 13 corporations with CRS.
