경찰 학교안전활동의 효과성 인식에 관한 연구

초록

최근에 학생을 대상으로 학교의 내ㆍ외에서 발생하는 사고 및 범죄가 증가하고 있어서, 학교안전에 대한 사회의 관심 또한 높아지고 있다. 특히, 학생들의 등ㆍ하교 시에 발생하는 위험요소, 학교 내에서의 학생 간 폭력, 외부인의 침입에 따른 학교 내에서의 범죄 등과 같이 학교안전을 위협하는 요소들은 다양한 상황이다. 이 연구의 목적은 경찰 학교안전활동의 주요요소들 중에서 어떤 요소들이 그 효과성 인식에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고, 분석결과에 기초하여 경찰의 학교안전활동을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안들을 제안하는 것이다. 이 연구를 수행하기 위해 대전지방경찰청에 근무하는 경찰관 147명을 대상으로 조사하였고, 독립변수는 교육기관의 협조, 학생ㆍ학부모ㆍ주변상인의 이해, 경찰관 및 학교안전관련 지킴이의 적극성, 학교안전활동 실행의 적절성이라는 4개 변수이고, 종속변수는 경찰 학교안전활동의 효과성 인식이다. 회귀분석의 결과, 종속변수인 경찰 학교안전활동의 효과성 인식에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 독립변수는 경찰 학교안전활동의 적절성, 경찰관 및 학교안전관련 지킴이의 적극성 2개 변수인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 이 연구의 분석 결과에 기초하여 경찰 학교안전활동을 향상시키기 위해서, 경찰관서는 학교안전활동의 실행방법ㆍ시간ㆍ투입인원 등을 철저하게 분석ㆍ기획한 후 실시하여 하고, 경찰관 및 학교안전관련 지킴이의 적극성을 증진시키고자 노력하여야 한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of safe activities around school by police, and to suggest the methods for improving the effectiveness of safe activities around school by police. This study conducts the survey on 147 policemen taking part in the safe activities around school at Daejeon Provincial Police Agency. By factor analysis, the cooperation of education institute, the understanding of studentsㆍparentsㆍneighborhood businessmen, the initiative of policemen and school police, and the appropriacy of practice are grouped as the independent variables. And the dependent variable is the effectiveness of safe activities around school by police. The results of this study demonstrate that the effectiveness of safe activities around school by police is affected statistically by the initiative of policemenㆍschool police and the appropriacy of practice. Therefore, police department must make the effort for increasing the initiative of policemenㆍschool police and enhancing the appropriacy of practice. To increase the effectiveness of safe activities around school by police, police department must make a accurate and thorough plan in implementing the safe activities around school by police, and enhance the responsibility of policemenㆍschool police.
