중국과 환경오염 변수가 한국의 수산물 무역에 미치는 영향

본고는 중국 수산물 수출과 환경오염 변수가 각각 한국의 수산물 수출과 수입에 미치는 영향을 1980년부터 2015년까지의 연별 자료를 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 수산물 수출함수에서 세계 실질GDP와 중국의 수산물 수출량이 1% 증가하면 한국의 수산물 수출은 각각 3.17% 증가와 0.83% 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 한국 원화의 실질실효환율과 수산물 수출단가가 1% 상승하면 수산물 수출이 각각 0.99% 감소하고 0.96% 증가하는 것으로 분석되었다. 한편 수산물 수입함수의 경우는 한국의 실질소득과 원화의 실질실효환율 1% 증가하거나 상승하면 각각 수산물 수입이 2.23%와 0.79% 증가한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 반면에 세계 이산화탄소배출량이 1% 증가하면 한국의 수산물이 수입이 0.22% 감소한다는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 단기적 불균형에서 장기적 균형으로 도달하는 조정속도를 의미하는 오차수정항은 수산물 수입이 수출보다 좀 더 빠르게 분석되었다. 이러한 결과를 근거로, 본고는 수출입 수산물에 대한 일괄 물류인프라 구축, 수입수산물의 유통·물류정책, 환율정책 등을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the effects of China and environmental pollution variables on the trade of fishery products in Korea using the time-series analysis method. Estimating the long-run equilibrium relationship and error correction models identified that the influence of income variables on fishery products was larger for exports than for imports. This suggests that if the global economy is stable, then continuous export growth is possible. Through the coefficient of the real effective exchange rate, which is a price variable, this study confirms that exchange rate stability can directly and positively affect the trade balance of fishery products. In addition, the effect of the rise in export unit prices in the export function had a positive effect on exports and a negative effect on increase in fishery products’ export in China. Additionally, global carbon dioxide emission had a negative impact on Korean fishery products’ import. Simultaneously, the import and export functions did not have autocorrelation, and the residuals were found to have a normal distribution. The error correction term indicated the process of adjustment to long-run equilibrium in the short-term imbalance, and the import function is larger than the export function.
