차별경험이 노인우울에 미치는 영향: 노인여가복지시설 이용경험의 조절효과를 중심으로

본 연구는 고령화 사회에서 나타나는 노인의 사기 범죄 피해 문제에 대한 관심을 바탕으로 노인 우울 문제의 해결방안을 모색하고자 한다. 본 연구는 보건복지부의 「2020년 노인실태조사」 데이터를 활용하여 노인여가복지시설 이용경험에 따라 차별경험이 노인우울에 미치는 영향이 달라지는지를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 노인복지관 이용경험은 차별경험과 노인우울의 관계를 유의하게 조절하였다. 반면에, 경로당과 노인교실은 이들의 관계에 대해 유의한 조절효과를 보이지 않았다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로, 노인복지관의 수를 증설하고자 하는 노력과 이를 위한 예산 마련이 이루어져야 한다는 제안을 하였다. 또한, 노인 인구의 비율이 높은 지역의 경우, 자치경찰이 노인 가정을 정기적으로 방문하여 차별경험이 많은 노인을 노인복지관으로 연계하도록 법률을 개정해야 한다는 제언을 남겼다.
Abstract
This study aims to explore solutions to the problem of geriatric depression based on the concern of the elderly being victims of fraudulent crimes in an aging society. Using data from the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 「2020 Survey of the Elderly」, this study examined whether the impact of ageism experience on geriatric depression varies according to the experience of using elderly leisure welfare facilities. The results showed that the experience of using senior welfare center significantly moderated the relationship between ageism experience and geriatric depression. On the other hand, senior citizen center and school for the elderly did not have significant moderating effects on these relationships. Based on these results, it was suggested that efforts should be made to increase the number of senior welfare center and that budgets should be made for this purpose. In addition, in areas with a high proportion of elderly people, it was suggested that the law should be amended to require autonomous police to regularly visit elderly people's homes and refer elderly people who have had lots of ageism experience to senior welfare center.
