국제 물류주선기업 포지셔닝 분석에 관한 연구

본 연구는 국제물류주선기업의 경쟁입지 및 기업입지를 도출하는 포지셔닝 분석을 목적으로 한다. 연구의 방법은 허쉬만-허핀달 지수(HHI 지수)와 BCG 매트릭스를 활용하며, 국제물류주선기업 25개의 2017년부터 2020년의 연도별 데이터를 활용한다. 허핀달-허쉬만 지수 분석결과, 2017년~2020년의 집중도 지수는 기간 내에 모두 0.180 이상으로 도출되어, 국내 국제물류주선기업 시장의 집중화 정도는 과점적 시장으로 나타났다. 추가로 BCG Matrix 분석을 진행한 결과, 대부분 국제물류주선기업이 상대적인 시장점유율이 낮으며, 상당수의 기업이 Dogs와 Question Marks의 중간선에 위치하고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 기업들은 수익성 개선 및 시장점유율 개선을 위한 다양한 노력을 기울여야 할 것으로 분석된다.
Abstract
This study aims to conduct a positioning analysis to derive the competitive and corporate positions of international freight forwarding companies. To this end, the Herfindahl-Hirschman (HHI) Index and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix were used based on the annual data of 25 international freight forwarding companies for the 2017 to 2020 period. According to the HHI Index analysis results, the 2017-2020 concentration index was over 0.180 for every year within the period, which indicates that the domestic international freight forwarder market’s concentration level was oligopolistic. In addition, the BCG Matrix analysis confirmed that most international freight forwarding companies had a relatively low market share, and a considerable number of companies were positioned in the middle line between Dogs and Question Marks. This means that the market growth rate is around 0%, indicating that these companies did not make good profits. Based on the study’s analysis results, companies should make various efforts to improve their profitability and market shares.
