산수유기(山水遊記) 교육 방안 모색 ─대학에서의 교육 사례를 바탕으로─

본고는 실제 교육 사례를 바탕으로 산수유기의 교육 방안을 모색해 보았다. 이에 학생들의 근거지 인근 산수를 대상으로 한 작품과 기타 지역 산수를 대상으로 한 작품을 어떻게 교육할 수 있는지를 실제 사례에 의거해 제시했다. 구체적으로는 조선 중‧후기를 대표하는 산문가인 이정구(李廷龜)와 이덕수(李德壽)의 작품인 「유도봉서원기」(遊道峯書院記)와 「백탑동기」(百塔洞記)를 공부한 수업을 그 사례로 활용했다. 교육은 학생들이 산수유기를 온전히 이해하고 그것의 다양한 가치를 느낄 수 있는 방향으로 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이에 본고에서는 산수유기에서 관용적으로 사용되는 표현을 짚어주고 동일한 산수를 그린 산수화를 수업의 보조 자료로 활용한 사례를 보여줌으로써 산수유기 장르 일반은 물론 개별 산수유기에 대한 온전한 이해를 도모하는 방안을 제시하고자 했다. 아울러 작품에 대한 감상을 나누는 활동을 통해 자연이 세속에서 상처 받은 마음을 치유해주는 존재라는 것과 같은 유의미한 결론을 이끌어 낸 사례를 보여주었다. 즉 토의의 과정을 통해 학생들이 자연스레 산수유기의 다양한 가치를 느낄 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 했다. 한편 그 밖에 시도해 볼 수 있는 교육 방안 또한 제시해 보고자 했다. 첫째로 ‘읽을 만한 산수유기 목록’을 학생들에게 제공하는 것 등을 통해 공부하는 작품의 범위를 확장시킬 수 있을 것이다. 둘째로 산수유기의 배경을 답사하고 자신만의 새로운 산수유기를 창작하는 것처럼 수업을 바탕으로 다양한 활동을 진행할 수도 있다. 셋째로 융합교육의 중요성이 강조되는 시대적 상황을 고려해 미술 등 인접 분야 공부와의 접목을 한층 심화시켜 보는 것도 가능하다.
Abstract
This study sought to educational methods of Essays on Landscapes based on actual studies cases. This paper reveals how to educate students on works of the landscape near their home base and other regions presented. Specifically, it is based on 「Yudobongseowongi」 and 「Baektapdonggi」 works of Lee, Jeong-gu, and Lee, Deok-soo, who are representative prose writers of the middle and late Jos,eon Dynasty used in the class as example. Education should be conducted that allows students can fully understand essays on landscapes and feel their various values. Therefore, this paper aims to suggest a plan to promote a complete understanding of the essays on the landscapes genre in general as well as each essay on landscapes by learning idiomatic expressions used in essays on landscapes and showing examples of using landscape paintings depicting the same landscape as reference materials for class. In addition, through activities to share appreciation for the work, examples of meaningful conclusions such as nature being like a mother who heals the wounded heart in the world were shown. In other words, to suggest a way for students to feel the various values of essays on landscapes by the discussion. On the other hand, to suggest other educational methods that can try. First, it will be possible to expand the range of works to be studied by providing students with a list of ‘essays on landscapes worth reading.’ Second, students can conduct various activities based on the lesson, including exploring the background of essays on landscapes and creating own new stories. Third, it is possible to deepen the integration with studies in adjacent fileds such as art, considering the situation of the times where the importance of convergence education is emphasized.
