The study adopts a comprehensive approach, investigating various dimensions such as student motivations, perceived value of language acquisition, and challenges encountered during the learning process. In this study, a survey was conducted on 81 students taking Korean language classes at Y University in Canada. The demotivation variables for Korean learning in this study were ‘instructor, learning contents, exam, value of learning Korean, attitudes toward Korea and Koreans, learning difficulties, lack of confidence, and learning environment were set in nine categories, and a survey was conducted for the participants. As a result of analyzing the learner's motivational variables, it was found that the motivation for learning Korean varies depending on the gender, grade, experience visiting Korea, and plan to take Korean next semester.
