목적본 연구는 장애아동 어머니의 우울, 양육스트레스 및 자아존중감의 관련성을 파악하고 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위한서술적 조사연구이다. 방법본 연구는 2012년 9월부터 10월까지 8주 동안 K시의 언어치료실을내원하는 장애아동의 어머니를 100명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의목적, 참여의 자발성 및 비밀보장 등을 설명하고 협조를 구한 후, 연구참여에 동의한 부모에게 구조화된 도구를 사용하여 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficient와다중회귀분석을 이용하였다. 결과우울은 자아존중감과 유의한 부적 상관관계(r=-.580, p = <.001)가있었으며, 우울과 양육스트레스는 정적 상관관계(r=.406, p = <.001)가있었다. 장애아동 어머니의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인은 자아존중감( =-.365), 양육스트레스( =.297), 가족의 수입( =-.205)이 장애아동어머니의 우울을 유의하게 설명하는 예측 변인으로 확인되었다(F=16.170, p <.001). 즉 장애아동 어머니의 자아존중감이 높을수록, 양육스트레스가 낮을수록, 가족의 수입이 많을수록 우울이 낮았으며이들 변수들로 총 38.7%의 설명력을 나타냈다결론장애아동의 어머니의 자아존중감이 높을수록, 양육스트레스가 낮을수록, 우울 정도는 낮아지므로 장애아동의 효율적인 돌봄을 제공하기 위해서는 장애아동의 어머니에게 자아존중감을 높이고 양육스트레스를 감소시켜 우울을 향상시킬 수 있는 간호중재가 마련되어야 할것이다.
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting depression in mothers of children with disabilities and to identify therelationships between the depression, parenting-stress and self-esteem. Methods: The participants were 100 mothers of children with disabilitieslving in G city. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and PearsonCorrelation Coefficients with SPSS/PC+ 21.0. Results: There was a significant relationship between depression and parenting stress (p<.001). Depression was negatively correlated with self-esteem (p<.001). Variables affecting depression were parenting-stress, self-esteem and familyincome. The three factors accounted for 38.7% of the depression. Conclusion: The results of the study show that parenting-stress and selfesteemare the most significant factors affecting depression. There is an urgent need to develop nursing interventions to reduce levels of depressionin mothers of children with disabilities and to help them lead a healthier life.
