부모상실의 트라우마에 대한 가족세우기치료 사례개념화

초록

부모상실의 트라우마를 가진 사람은 트라우마를 자극시키는 다른 상실의 경험을 통해 어린 시절의 트라우마의 고통을 다시 재경험할 수 있다. 트라우마(trauma)는 외상 후 스트레스 장애(post-traumatic stress disorder: PTSD)의 측면에서 다루어져 왔다. 본 논문은 부모를 잃어버린 상실의 트라우마가 어떤 의미이며 어떤 작용을 하는지를 다루었다. 먼저 트라우마에 대한 정의와 지금까지의 연구사와 더불어 트라우마가 피해자에게 끼치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 트라우마가 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 이러한 트라우마에 대한 서술을 전제로 가족치료의 한 모델인 가족세우기치료의 다른 이름인 트라우마가족치료를 소개 하였다. 트라우마치료는 다양한 치료모델의 관점에 따라 발전해왔으며 다양한 개입방법을 갖고 있다. 특히 상실의 트라우마를 가진 내담자를 치료하는 작업은 심리적이고 사회적인 관계의 상실로 인해 생긴 심리사회적 혼란을 치료하는 과정이다. 트라우마 치료를 위한 가족치료와 트라우마가족치료가 어떤 연결을 가지며 상이성은 무엇인지를 다루며, 트라우마에 대한 가족치료의 접근기술은 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 부모를 상실한 대학생 내담자에게 어떻게 치료적 가능성을 갖는지를 서술하였다.

Abstract

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is the most common diagnosis after a traumatic incident. This study explored the prevalence and effects of traumatic experiences among college students, including fear, shock, anger, helplessness, horror, and guilt. It also explored the goals for treatment of such post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms, such as to reduce emotional and physical symptoms, improve daily functioning, and help the person better cope with the event that triggered the disorder. This article describes the use of Family Positioning, a form of family therapy, to help suffers of PTSD and their families better understand and cope with their problems.
