초록

In this study, we tried to reduce the flammability of wood, in order to expand the use of wood. Therefore, the combustion characteristics were evaluated after injecting flame retardant chemical into wood for semi-non-combustible materials. The species of wood was red pine and the specimens were made with 3, 5 and 10 mm thicknesses to determine the proper thickness required for non-combustible materials. Then the effect of thickness was also analyzed. The chemical was a water-soluble inorganic. In order to increase the absorptivity of the chemical, the wood was treated with laser incising and the chemical was injected under pressurization. A cone calorimeter was used to evaluate the flame retardant performance. As a result, the higher the absorptivity of the chemical, the better the flame-retardant performance. The semi-non-combustible performance was satisfied with only 10 mm thickness (2.9MJ/m2 of Total heat release), which had the highest absorption rate of the chemical.
