Abstract
The rapid transition to AI-driven content production is revolutionizing beauty-creator education, which has historically depended on manual editing and aesthetic practices. This study introduced an innovative instructional model that systematically incorporates generative AI video tools—such as Text-to-Video, AI Text-to-Speech, and automated editing—into a university-level beauty-creator course. Grounded in the TPACK framework, digital literacy theory, and Creative Problem Solving(CPS), the model was developed using the ADDIE process and implemented over 15 weeks. Fourteen undergraduate students participated, with data collected through pre-surveys, post-class questionnaires, focus group interviews, and an analysis of production outcomes. Factor analysis identified four reliable constructs: AI perception, usefulness, participation, and self-efficacy(Cronbach’s α=.816–.926). Regression analysis indicated that the intention to utilize AI was significantly predicted by perceived usefulness(β =.328, p<.01), prior AI experience(β=.355, p<.01), participation(β=.297, p<.05), and self-efficacy(β =.244, p<.05). Learning satisfaction was influenced by usefulness, participation, and AI perception, highlighting the significance of practical value and active engagement in fostering ongoing AI learning. Qualitative findings supported these results, with students noting increased interest in AI-generated visuals, a reduced technical burden due to automation, clearer storytelling processes, and heightened confidence in their creative identities. Challenges included difficulties with prompt writing and inconsistencies in AI-generated imagery, leading students to express a desire for more diverse tools and advanced project-based activities. Overall, the AI-integrated model effectively enhanced learners’ production competence, digital literacy, and motivation to continue using AI technologies. This study illustrates the pedagogical value of generative AI in beauty-creator training and offers practical implications for designing future AI-driven, practice-centered curricula in beauty and media education.
