본 연구의 목적은 인천 지역 혁신네트워크의 구조적·공간적 특성을 분석하여정책적 시사점을 제시하는 데 있다. 혁신네트워크는 기관 간 공동연구개발사업을 의미하며 분석자료는 국가연구개발사업 데이터를 사용하였다. 분석결과, 인천 지역에 소속된 기관들의 혁신네트워크의 밀도는 낮아 기관 간 교류가 미약한 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 많은 기관이 단절된 형태로 연구개발을 수행하고 공동연구의 협력관계가 확산되지 않고 특정한 기관에서만 제한적으로 이루어지고 있는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 공간적인 특징으로 인천은 경기도와의 연계 비중이 27.1%로 가장 높았으며 인천 지역 내 네트워크는 23.1%로 2위를 차지하고있고 서울은 19.2%로 3위를 차지하고 있어 수도권 내 네트워크 비중이 높게 나타났다. 본 연구는 주체 간의 연구개발 협력관계를 파악하기 위하여 사회네트워크분석(Social Network Analysis)을 수행하였으며 인천 지역의 혁신네트워크 활성화를 위한 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다.
Abstract
This study examines the structure and features of Incheon’s regional innovation network and offers policy suggestions. For the analysis of research and development (R&D) projects jointly performed between institutions, this study employs data from national R&D projects. The network density of institutions in the Incheon region is low, and the exchange between institutions is weak. In addition, collaborative research does not have many links, has not spread, and is limited to certain institutions. Looking at spatial characteristics, Incheon has a high network ratio with the metropolitan area. The ratio of collaboration with Gyeonggi is the highest at 27.1%, with Incheon’s network accounting for 23.1%; Seoul ranked 19.2%. In this study, social network analysis is conducted to understand the cooperative relationships between institutions. Policy implications for activating Incheon’s innovation network are provided.
