초록

본 연구는 향후 국내 관광산업의 성장을 위한 기초가 될 잠재 인력들(관광관련 전공자)이 전공을 선택하는데 있어서 본인의 의지 및 특성 등 어떤 요소가 반영되었는지에 대해 살펴보고, 전공선택요인이 전공만족, 전공몰입 및 진로결정효능감에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 2년제와 4년제 대학에서 관광 관련 전공 재학생들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 조사기간은 2023년 10월 10일부터 20일까지 진행되었고, 유효한 설문지 328부를 분석에 활용하였다. 수집한 자료는 SPSS v.22와 AMOS v.22를 이용하였으며 빈도분석, 요인분석, 상관관계산출, 가설검증을 위한 구조모형 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 전공선택요인은 전공만족, 전공몰입, 진로결정효능감에 영향을 미치는 선행요인으로 밝혀졌다. 그리고 전공만족은 전공몰입과 진로결정효능감에, 전공몰입은 진로결정효능감에 유의한 영향을 미침이 확인되었다. 이를 바탕으로 관광 관련 전공 실무진에게 실무적 시사점을 제시하고, 관련 연구의 확장및 이론적 시사점을 논의하고자 한다.

Abstract

This study aims to identify factors such as will and characteristics that are reflected when selecting a tourism major for tourism-related students, who will become the basis for the future growth of the domestic tourism industry, and to understand how major selection factors affect major satisfaction, major commitment, and career decision efficacy. For this purpose, a survey was conducted targeting students majoring in tourism at two- and four-year universities from October 10, 2023, to October 20, 2023, and 328 valid questionnaires were used for analysis. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS v.22 and AMOS v.22. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation calculation, and structural model analysis were conducted to verify the hypotheses. Consequently, major selection factors were found to be antecedents affecting major satisfaction, commitment, and career decision efficacy. Additionally, major satisfaction had a significant effect on major immersion and career decision efficacy, while major immersion had a significant impact on career decision efficacy. Based on these results, we present practical implications for tourism-related majors and discuss the expansion of related research and its theoretical implications.
