초록

Objectives: This study aimed to systematically review factors that affect the political participationprocess in the nursing profession and to conduct a meta-analysis of these factors. Methods: Articlespublished in Korean were collected, based on specific search terms, and converted into a numericaldatabase. We then completed data extraction, quality assessment, and analysis, including a systematicreview and meta-analysis. Results: The review included 14 studies, and the meta-analysis included sixstudies. We identified eight factors affecting political participation among Korean nursing professionals, categorized into four sub-factors: orientation, stimuli, outcome orientation, and response. In themeta-analysis of six articles, the total effect size (ESr) was .36, with effect sizes of .21 for orientationfactors and .43 for outcome orientation factors. The main factors were .51 for political interest and .43for political efficacy. Conclusions: Nurses with high political interest are more likely to engage inpolitical activities. Based on these findings, educational institutions for the nursing profession shouldenhance political interest and efficacy through education to encourage political participation.
