Abstract

This paper deals with the value of wood printing blocks of KSAC in the aspect of the relation of the Confucian culture and the Wood printing, the significance of Yeungnam district in the Korean cofucian culture, the compositional characteristics of KSAC's wood blocks. The documentary heritages are the most important heritages of the confucian culture in the aspect of characteristic of confucian culture seeking the ethically valuable life. The KSAC's wood blocks have the representativeness in the fact that they have been collected from the Yeungnam district where the most large number of wood blocks had been made in Chosun dynasty. And they have also the uniqueness in the fact that the authors of the wood blocks including Toegey LeeHwang (1501～1570) were related each other historically and academically. Speaking of the documentary heritages, People have tended to put emphasis on the old books or old papers as per normal. But this thesis revealed that wood block is the primary material having the trends and informations of culture industry in the modern period.
