Abstract

Lee Jun-hyung is an independence activist who fleeed to Manchuria after the national plight and dedicated to the liberation of his country. In January 1911, Lee Jun-hyung led his family with his father and set out for Manchuria. Since then, in 1932, he struggled for the independence movement in the strange environment and culture of foreign countries for 20 years. Lee Jun-hyung is known to have worked with Lee Sang-ryong as the assistant to the nearest distance when he vigorously pursued the independence movement at home and abroad. While Lee Sang-ryong had been a vanguard at the forefront of the independence movement, Lee Jun-hyung played a mostly practical role, helping his father plan to run the organization and raise funds. After returning to his homeland, Lee's activities are concentrated in two directions. The first is to organize the father's note and to write the letters of family members to fulfill their responsibilities as descendants. The second is to repair and organize the historic spots of the ancestors and preserve the way in history. At this time, Lee Jun-hyung's writings revealed the hidden traces and virtues of numerous figures and historical figures. This suggests Lee's high quality writing at that time.
