송자대전 서간문 난해처 해결방안 연구

본 연구는 송시열의 문집인 ≪송자대전≫서간문에 나타나는 각종 난해처를 해결하기 위한 방안을 모색하기 위해 진행된 것이다. 연구의 진행방식은, 1)1980년대에 번역된 선역본과 현재 번역이 진행중인 완역본의 주석, 그리고 본 연구를 위해 제작한 샘플 번역본의 주석을 종류별로 그 경향을 분석한 다음, 2)시간적 접근 방법을 통해 번역에 사용된 각종 참고문헌을 분석하고, 공간적 접근방법을 통해 우암의 거처변화와 인물 상호간의 관계를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 도출한 해결 방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문집의 저자인 송시열의 연보, ≪조선왕조실록≫, ≪승정원일기≫ 등의 연대기 자료와, 번역저본인 ≪송자대전≫과 편지 수신자의 문집, 그리고 주변 인물과 주고받은 편지 등 관련 자료들을 연월일 순으로 정리하는 編年化 작업을 선행한 후 번역한다. 둘째, 편지 쓸 당시 우암의 동선을 파악할 수 있는 거처의 변화 및 주변 인물과의 혈연, 혼인, 사제 관계 및 인물에 대한 포폄이 담겨 있는 각종 異稱과 竝稱 등을 파악하여 이를 번역에 최대한 활용한다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to find a way to resolve various difficulties appearing in the epistles of ≪Songjadaejeon(宋子大全)≫, a collection of works by Song Siyeol(宋時烈). The study was carried out as follows. First, the annotations of the version translated in the 1980s, the annotations of the fully translated version currently in progress, and the annotations of the sample translations produced for this study were analyzed by type. Second, various references used for translation were analyzed through a temporal approach, and Song Siyeol's change of residence and the relationship between characters were analyzed through a spatial approach. The solution derived through the above analyses is as follows. First, it is necessary to comprehensively organize chronological data such as Song Siyeol's Annals, ≪The Veritable Records of the Joseon Dynasty (朝鮮王朝實錄)≫, ≪The Daily Records of Royal Secretariat of the Joseon Dynasty (承政院日記)≫, the epistles of ≪Songjadaejeon≫ and another person's epistles to Song Si-yeol. Second, the change of residence, blood ties, marital relations, academic relations and various nicknames of Song Si-yeol at the time of writing the epistles should be identified so as to grasp his movements. That should be used as much as possible for translation of ≪Songjadaejeon≫.
