한중수교이후 양국간 무역 및 투자는 괄목할 만한 성장세를 보이고 있다. 현재와 같이 양국간 교역 증가추세가 지속될 경우 향후 3-4년 내에 양국간 교역규모는 2,000억 달러에 이를 것으로 전망되고 있다. 특히 무역과 투자증대에 따른 양국간 산업구조의 경합관계는 갈수록 심화 되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이미 한국의 전통적 수출시장인 미국시장 등 에서 중국은 저가의 공산품을 앞세워 적어도 시장점유율 면에서는 한국 제품을 이미 추월한 것으로 나타났다. 물론 한국제품의 대중 수출과 직접투자의 증가가 중국산 제품의 가격 및 품질경쟁력을 제고시키는데 일정한 기여를 하였고, 중국과의 교역에서 발생하는 무역흑자가 제3국의 시장에서 중국제품과의 경쟁에 따른 수출 감소를 일정부분 상쇄하는 역할을 하였다고도 볼 수 있지만, 해외시장에서 한중 양국의 경쟁이 격화되고 있는 것은 우리의 입장에서 결코 바람직하다고 볼 수 없다.따라서 본고에서는 한중 수교이후 양국간 교역투자현황 및 최근 첨예화되고 있는 중국의 기술경쟁력 제고에 따른 우리의 과제에 대해 살펴보고자한다.
Abstract
The economic cooperation between Korea and China developed rapidly by companion relation in spite of time that is not long. Specially, trade and cooperation between two countries in investment field had accomplished great development.As trade scale between two countries keeps high augmentation more than yearly 23.6%, China is the 1st trade partner of our country. Therefore, if trade between two countries becomes continuation increase like now, trade scale of two countries is forecasted to arrive for 200 billion dollars that reach in present double levels in 3-4 years after. However, unlike increase of economy interchange between these two countries, competition between Korean-Chinese two countries product is deepened rawly in domestic and overseas market. Therefore, wish to present new direction for "Korea-China economic cooperation" by evaluate results of economic cooperation between two countries in this paper, and revaluate problems that appear among economic cooperation especially focusing on bilateral trade, investment and technical competitiveness at the same time.
