본 연구는 뇌졸중노인에서 인지기능 요인과 우울감 요인과의 상관성에 대해 알아보고자 실시되었다. 이를 위해 D시 소재 K병원에서 입원하여 치료를 받고 있는 34명의 뇌졸중노인과 26명의 일반노인을 대상으로 노인용 인지검사(CSOA)와 한국형 노인우울검사(KGDS)를 실시하였다. 두 집단 간에 인지기능 요인과 우울감 요인을 독립표본 t검증을 사용하여 비교하였고, Pearson’s r계수를 사용하여 뇌졸중노인 집단 내에서 인지기능 요인과 우울감 요인과의 상관성을 보았다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 뇌졸중노인은 일반노인에 비해 인지기능 요인들에서 유의하게 낮았다. 둘째, 뇌졸중노인은 일반노인에 비해 대부분의 우울감 요인들에서 유의하게 높았다. 셋째, 뇌졸중노인의 인지기능 요인과 우울감 요인 간에는 인지기능이 낮을수록 우울감이 높음을 반영하는 상관이 선별적으로 유의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sub-factors of cognitive function and depression in elderly who suffer from stroke. CSOA and KGDS scores of 34 inpatients with stroke recruited from the K hospital located in D city were compared to those scores of 26 normal elderly individuals. Independent sample t-tests to compare the sub-factors of cognitive functions between two groups found that those with stroke demonstrated significantly low scores in sub-factors of cognitive function, but had a higher score in depression. Pearson’s r further confirmed the inverse relationship between sub-factors of cognitive function disorder and depression in the stroke group.
