ADHD 성향 초등학교 고학년의 계획 및 조직화 중심 실행기능 향상 프로그램 효과

초록

본 연구에서는 계획 및 조직화 중심 실행기능 향상 프로그램이 ADHD 성향 초등학교 고학년의 실행기능에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 송현주(2011)가 개발하고 본 연구자가 개발과정에 참여한 ADHD 성향 고학년의 실행기능 향상 프로그램을 바탕으로 계획 및 조직화 영역을 중점적으로 증진시킬 수 있도록 재구성하여 적용하였다. 연구대상은 서울에 거주하고 있는 ADHD 성향의 고학년을 대상으로 프로그램의 효과를 통제집단과 비교 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 실행기능 결함에 대한 자기 평가 중 계획 및 조직화 영역의 유의미한 향상이 관찰되었을 뿐 아니라 STROOP 검사 및 토막짜기 소검사 점수에서 긍정적 변화가 관찰됨으로써 계획 및 조직화 영역의 향상이 입증되었다. 이를 통해 본 프로그램이 ADHD 성향의 아동의 계획 및 조직화 능력 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 주었음을 검증할 수 있었다. 나아가 실행기능 향상 프로그램이 ADHD 성향을 가진 아동의 실행기능 향상에 효과적으로 적용될 가능성이 크다는 점이 시사되어 앞으로 실행기능 향상 프로그램의 적용 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점이 논의되었다.

Abstract

The present study aims to examine the efficacy of the Planning and Organizing Focused Executive Function Program (POFEFP) on improving executive functions in children with ADHD. Over a 6-week period, 12 total sessions were conducted; two per week, 50 minutes each. When compared to the control group, who did not receive treatment, it was found that, following the intervention, the treatment group’s planning and organizing skills improved significantly. The self-reports, Stroop test and block design of the K-WISC-IV all yielded positive results, especially on planning and organizing. Implications and limitations are discussed.
