초록
This paper introduces an adaptive digital readout integrated circuit (DROIC) equipped with a pixel-level multiplesingle-slope analog-to-digital converter designed for high-resolution microbolometer infrared focal plane arrays. This DROICfeatures exceptionally low power consumption, making it well-suited for ultralight portable devices. Because it was engineeredto adjust to rapidly changing ambient conditions, the circuit enhances the dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio across a broadinput spectrum and efficiently offers multiple operational modes. The DROIC was designed using a 0.18 μm CMOS processand integrated into a 640 × 512 array of 17 μm × 17 μm pixels. It achieved a maximum integration time of 1.82 ms and dynamicrange of 81.9 dB, while its power consumption remained below 20.5 nW per pixel at a frame rate of 30 Hz.
