이 연구의 목적은 여자전문대학 재학생의 고용가능성 개념에 대한 인식을 분석하고 주관성 요인을 발견하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 Q 방법론을 적용하였으며 연구 결과 고용가능성에 대한 인식 유형은 ‘긍정적 자기 확신과 적극적 대응’, ‘부정적 현실 인식과 높은 자격요건 추구’, 그리고 ‘긍정적 자아와 부정적 외부환경의 갈등’ 으로 분류되었다. 제1유형은 고용가능성과 관련하여 전반적으로 긍정적으로 인식하면서 적극적으로 대응하고 준비하고자 하였다. 제2유형은 여자전문대 재학생으로서 인식한 한계의 극복을 위해 편입 등 소위 말하는 ‘스펙’ 쌓기를 중요시하였다. 제3유형은 고용가능성과 관련하여 개인 수준에서 긍정적으로 인식하는 반면에 사회 구조적인 한계에 대한 부정적 인식이 강조되었다. 이러한 세 가지 인식 유형에 대해서는 개인, 학교, 노동시장(외부환경), 그리고 경력개발이라는 범주에 따라 인식 유형별 공통성과 차별성이 논의되었다. 마지막으로 각각의 유형에 기초하여 여자전문대학 재학생의 고용가능성과 경력개발에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the perceived subjectivity toward employability of women’s college students using Q methodology. Methods: Twelve women’s college students classified 35 selected Q-statements into 9 points standard. The obtained data were analyzed by using PQMethod program. Results: Principal Component Analysis identified three types of employability of subjects, and named by researchers. TypeⅠ is ‘Optimistic self confidence and proactive actions’, TypeⅡ is ‘Negative perception and pursuit of high specifications’, TypeⅢ is ‘Conflict of optimistic self and pessimistic external environment’. The results suggest that employability of women’s college students should be understood in the context of individual, college, labor market, and career development. In addition, subjectivity on employability needs to be considered as the dynamics of these contexts. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the perception on employability of women’s college students needs to be approached from more diverse stakeholder rather than student’s own ability.
