직무요인 분석을 통한 관광 경찰의 직무만족 향상 방안: 질적연구를 중심으로

Abstract

Through qualitative research methods, the various job stress and satisfaction factors recognized by the Tourism police were analyzed, and through this paper, the policy measures that can improve the job satisfaction of the Tourism police in the future were sought to enhance. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 Tourism police officers working for the Seoul, Incheon and Busan Metropolitan Police Agency's tourism police units. Research shows that tourism police are often under stress over difficulties in handling complaints, job sharing, shortage police officers, discrimination against allowances, and alienation from promotion compared to regular police officers. In addition, the general public was not aware of the lack of public relations with tourism and police, and the lack of support from other ministries was also recognized as a cause of job dissatisfaction. In addition, it was found that the high workload, such as excessive patrols, crackdowns, and investigations, showed a significant level of mental stress and low job satisfaction. Therefore, in order for the police agency to improve the job satisfaction of the tourist police in the future, first of all, in order to improve job satisfaction through the improvement of job environment factors of the Tourism police, we will have to make efforts to organize a unified organization system, prepare stable operation measures for the organization, and create an open and horizontal organizational culture. Second, to improve job satisfaction through improving the job characteristics of the Tourism police, it is necessary to strengthen awareness of job importance, as well as independent and clear work makeup, and to produce data books to improve the understanding of internal duties. Third, in order to improve job satisfaction through improving the non-task factors of the Tourism police, the establishment of an easy and concise work process, independent allowances, and the allocation of personnel for separate promotions should be made to operate a fair personnel system, come up with specific work-sharing guidelines to avoid overlapping work, and active exposure to tourism and police activities. Finally, it seems that the establishment and operation of a professional and systematic education system will be necessary to improve job satisfaction through the improvement of other factors of the tourism police.
