음악치료 및 다른 심리 교육적 치료 프로그램에 대한 일 병원 정신과 입원 환자들의 인식 조사

이 연구의 목적은 일 병원에서 시행되고 있는 음악치료 및 다른 심리 교육적 치료 프로그램에 대한 정신과 입원 환자들의 인식을 조사하는데 있었다. 본 연구의 대상자는 서울시에 소재하고 있는 일 병원에 입원한 환자들로 정신질환(정신분열증 및 기타 정신병적 장애, 기분장애, 알코올 중독, 기타)으로 진단받은 남자 환자 184명과 여자 환자 95명 총 279명이다. 자료 수집 및 분석을 위해 연구 대상자들이 참여하고 있는 음악치료 및 다른 심리 교육적 치료 프로그램과 관련된 내용의 설문지를 통해 어떤 프로그램이 치료에 효과적이라고 생각하는지, 또 얼마만큼 효과적이라고 생각하는지에 대한 정신과 입원 환자들의 인식을 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 대상자 중 93.9%가 병원에서 제공하고 있는 음악치료 및 다른 심리 교육적 치료 프로그램이 증상 치료에 효과적이라고 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났는데, 특히 여자가 남자보다, 30대가 다른 연령대보다, 기분장애가 다른 증상군보다, 입원횟수가 처음인 환자가 재입원 병력이 있는 환자보다 더 효과적이라고 응답하였다. 대상자들은 치료에 가장 도움이 되는 프로그램은 음악치료라고 응답하면서 정신장애 영역 치료에 있어 병원에서 제공하는 심리 교육적 치료 프로그램 중 음악치료가 가장 효과적이라고 평가하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to quantitatively evaluate psychiatric patients’ perception of their psychoeducational therapy programs. Participants(N=279) completed a survey rating on each therapy programs in which they were enrolled and its helpfulness. Results indicated that participants rated music therapy as significantly more helpful than all other psychoeducational programs(p< .05). Further analyses indicated that female participants rated music therapy of their programs as more helpful when compared male participants. And 20’s participants rated music therapy as more helpful when compared other age groups, Dementia etc diagnosis-related group rated music therapy as more helpful when compared other populations in groups. Also participants admitted to a psychiatric institution only once rated their programs as more helpful when compared to participants who had been admitted multiple times. Participants consistently rated music therapy as more effective than other programs in addressing specific psychiatric deficit areas. Additionally, participants noted that music therapy was their favorite therapy program.
