부르디외의 문화이론과 재생산으로서의 교육에 대한 철학적 고찰

본 논문은 부르디외의 문화자본론의 간략한 고찰을 통해 현대 사회의 문화 활동과 여기서 발생하는 계급간의 문화차이에 대한 이론을 교육적으로 분석하고자 한다. 첫째, 부르디외의 문화이론에 대한 고찰로 우선 자본의 논리와 ‘아비투스’(habitus)와 ‘장’(場: Champ)의 두 개념의 상호작용을 통해 사회와 이를 둘러싼 문화의 관계를 설명한다. 부르디외는 한 시대의 문화변동을 단순한 사회조건의 변화 속에서 파악하지 않고 자본의 논리로 설명하고 있다. 학교는 이러한 자본의 분배과정에 참여하여 지배계급의 권력과 문화가 사회적 정당성을 가지게 된다고 한다. 둘째, 문화적 재생산으로서의 교육의 의미 고찰을 통하여 자본주의 사회의 교육을 분석하고 비판한다. 부르디외는 자본주의 사회의 교육 및 교육제도는 지배계급의 권력과 지식의 정당성을 상징적 폭력을 통해 오인시키면서 사회의 계급을 재생산한다고 한다. 이를 통하여 현재 한국의 문화자본과 이를 통한 교육재생산의 과정을 알아보고 교육 불평등과 교육에 의해 일어나는 소외의 양상에 관한 고찰을 통해 교육을 통한 인간의 해방과 자유의 실현의 가능성을 찾고자 한다. 또한 부르디외의 이론은 사회이론에 대한 심층적인 검토를 가능하게 하여 구조를 반영하지도, 구조에 완전히 독립적이지도 않은 인간의 행위를 설명하는데 충분한 설득력을 가지고 있다. 따라서 기존의 논리를 재생산하면서 동시에 끊임없이 변화하고 있는 사회적인 장의 모습을 통해 현대 사회와 교육에 대한 유용한 분석을 할 수 있다고 본다.
Abstract
This study is intended to analysis the meaning and contents of education based on the theories of Bourdieu's cultural capitalism and cultural reproduction. For this, this study investigate firstly the concept of cultural capital, habitus, field which are important to understanding Bourdieu's analysis of how the situation of cultural reproduction theory concretely within school education. And then this study has an intend to clarify the concept of education of reproduction through Bourdieu's analysis in the task of explaining class and reproduction theory in the contemporary class-divided situation in school education. For this, the major foci were selected as follows:First, What have been most important notion is in Bourdieu's discussion is that the relation between capital and culture. According to him, those two notions are the problem of relation that functions continuously, closely associated with all of human life as well as education. Second, Cultural reproduction is influenced in many ways to the education and social status. The ruling class has their power by doing what has as meaning in the name of its ideological grounding. Class and power connected with reproduction theory have controled not only in the state of the school education but also the dispositions of the oppressed class. Third, Symbolic violence is imposed itself on the oppressed and it is reproduced by them, because the habitus controls practice in every field of culture and education. So culture becomes the central link between the dominant class interests and everyday life. To the further discussion will emphasize that cultural reproduction is work to social hierarchial principle and interests through various cultural communicative actions. And cultural reproduction is to mediate between individual area and society of all human life. Finally to achieve emancipation of human being through education, we should have crucial perspective of reproduction of education and culture.
