바바라 리만의 그림책에 나타난환상 구현 방식 연구

본 연구는 지금까지 출간된 바바라 리만의 그림책을 모두 분석하여 현실과 환상의 경계와 결합, 중첩과 순환 등이 그림에서 드러나는 양상과 그 의미를 살펴보았다. 작가의 표현 방식 중에서 특히 그림의 외곽에 있는 검은 선인 프레임이 존재하는 방식을 중심으로 각 그림책에 있는 노란색의 상징 방법, 독자와 인물의 시선 마주함 등이 지니는 의미에 대해 살펴보았다. 환상 그림책은 독자의 꿈과 상상을 펼칠 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 그리고 독자는 작가가 그림책에 제시한 환상의 표현 방식을 구체적으로 찾을 수 있어야 한다. 즉 독자는 그림책에서 드러나는 현실과 환상의 경계와 결합 방식뿐 아니라 작가가 그림책을 통해 드러내는 환상의 의미도 함께 살펴야 한다. 바바라 리만의 그림책을 통해서 독자는 그림책의 세계에서 인물이 겪는 현실과 환상이 연계되는 과정에 대한 이해뿐 아니라 독자의 현실과 그림책의 환상이 연계되는 경험도 할 수 있다. 작가는 이중적인 환상 구조를 통해 독자로 하여금 그림책에 있는 환상을 생생하게 공감하고 상상하도록 하였다. 그리고 독자는 그림책을 통해 경험하는 현실과 환상을 바탕으로 세상을 바라보는 통찰력과 진실성을 얻는 기회를 가질 수 있다.
Abstract
This paper examines the problem of Barbara Lehman’s picturebooks fantasy style. Picture of Barbara Lehman’s books is that in reality the vision of people experience in their own reality and re-entering the fantasy experience. That is the reality for the reader and the characters in the picture book fantasy, and repeat the cycle can be nested to form. Readers as well as books from the author draws the reader into a world of fantasy is to experience a variety of ways. Their books so the reader the illusion of reality and re-connect and be able to imagine the figure overlap. Reality and fantasy in the world of books, as well as linking to occur in the real world of the reader, and the books will be associated fantasies. Barbara Lehman’s books are similar to each other, or picture color and shape are often linked. For example, a child who ≪Museum Trip≫ yellow Medals, ≪Trainstop≫ entrance of the station, such as yellow, ≪Rainstorm≫ the yellow gate, the yellow of the statements are relevant to the lighthouse. After Barbara Lehman’s books and look at the color symbolism and relevance of a fact-book readers to browse and configure the way the story is discussed.
