Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of the role as a soldier on work to family conflict and its influence on turnover intention, as well as the mediating effect of supervisor trust. The research was conducted using a survey with 170 active-duty officers and NCOs serving in the Marine Corps organization, and analyzed using SPSS WIN 27.0 for frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The analysis results indicated that work to family conflict had a direct positive effect on the turnover intention of Marine Corps officers and NCOs, and that supervisor trust partially mediated the relationship between work to family conflict and turnover intention. Based on the findings, theoretical grounds were established regarding the influence of supervisor trust as a mediating variable in the relationship between work to family conflict and turnover intention, practical measures were suggested to enhance supervisor trust and mitigate turnover intention even in the presence of work to family conflict.
