결혼이민자가정 아동의 공격성에 영향을 미치는 변인들의 경로분석: 부모방임, 또래관계, 차별경험, 우울

초록

본 연구에서는 가정환경 요소인 부방임과 모방임, 외부환경 요소인 또래관계와 차별경험, 개인의내적기질 요소인 우울이 결혼이민자가정의 초기 사춘기 아동의 공격성에 영향을 미치는 인과과정을경로분석하였다. 분석결과, 모방임이 사춘기 아동의 공격성에 여전히 직접적인 영향을 미치는것으로 확인되었으나, 간접효과는 유의미하지 않은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 그러나 부방임은 모방임과달리 간접적으로는 물론 직접적으로도 공격성에 영향을 미치지 않는 변인으로 확인되었다. 모방임보다 내적기질 요인인 우울이 초기 사춘기 아동의 공격성에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 가장 주요한예측변인으로 확인되었다. 그러나 외부환경 요소인 차별경험은 우울을 매개로만 공격성에 간접적인영향을 미쳤으나 또래관계는 직접적은 물론 간접적으로도 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 결혼이민자가정의 초기 사춘기 아동의 공격성 완화 및 예방을 위해 모방임감소 전략과 더불어 우울 완화 전략에 초점을 두어 개입하는 것이 효과적일 수 있음을 시사해주고있다.

Abstract

This study conducted path analysis to investigate causal relationships between aggressive behaviors among children of immigrant mothers and various factors such as father’s neglect, mother’s neglect, peer relations, experience of discrimination, and depression. This study found that mother’s neglect, one of family risk factors, still directly influenced aggressive behaviors among children at their early adolescence, but it did not show any significant indirect effect. On the other hand, father’s neglect did not have neither direct nor indirect effects on the children’s aggressive behaviors. It was found that depression, which is one of internal characteristics, was the most important predictor of aggressive behaviors among the children with immigrant mothers. Discrimination, which is one of environmental risk factors, influenced the aggressive behaviors only through mediating depression. The results of this study indicated that strategies to reduce or prevent aggressive behaviors among early adolescent children with immigrant mothers should be focused on mitigating their depression and mother’s neglect.
