한국인의 나라사랑과 안보의식: 현황과 과제

본 연구는 한국인의 나라사랑과 안보상황 인식이 어떠한지를 진단하는데 목적을 두었다.이를 위해 메타방법론에 의거 2000년-2014년간 조사된 국가보훈처,행정자치부의 조사자료를 종합적으로 검토하였다.그리고 나라사랑과 안보의식 관련 선행연구의 조사결과를 보완적으로 활용하였다.분석결과,첫째,한국인의 안보의식은 전반적으로 높은 것으로 파악되었다.하지만 여성들과 20-30대 그리고 청소년층에서는 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다.둘째,현실에 맞는 안보교육과 홍보가 매우 부족한 것으로 나타났다.셋째,한국의 안보현실과 북한의 실상에 대한 이해가 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다.넷째,나라사랑과 안보의식 고취를 위한 정부와 국민간 공식적 채널 확보가 절실한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 우리의 현실에 맞는 나라사랑과 안보의식 향상에 필요한 몇 가지 과제를 제시하였다.
Abstract
AsSouth Koreaand North Koreaarestillstanding facetoface,circumstances pertainingtonationalsecurityaroundtheKoreanpeninsulaandNortheastAsiaare precarious,only to be exacerbated.Forthis reason,Koreans would have to live with theirsenseofpatriotism.Therefore,thisstudy rediscoversKorea'ssenseof nationalidentityandsuggestswaystoheightentheirsenseofnationalsecurityby analyzing the survey about Koreans' patriotism,which was conducted by the Ministry ofPatriotsandVeterans'Affairs.Theresultshowsthatthemajority of Koreans have relatively high sense ofnationalsecurity,butwhen itcomes to women,peoplein theirtwentiestothirties,andadolescents,they mightnotshare the same sentiment. The Korean government must appropriately implement education programs aboutNorth Korea and related promotion to fosterKoreans' senseofnationalsecurity.Bylettingthecitizensknow thatthereisadiscrepancy between theory and reality regarding North Korea,Koreans will be able to naturallycultivatetheirsenseofpatriotism andform suchambienceaswell.Asa citizen ofKorea,itis inevitable to protecthis orhercountry and itis also a responsibility for the citizen to sacrifice his or her life to achieve this mean. Therefore,thelofty idealofprotecting one'scountry isequivalenttotheidealof patriotism,which is also a given responsibility.Therefore,and we mustremind ourselvesthevalueofsacrificeforthecountry
