Objective To compare the characteristics and analyze the factors affecting growth in healthy and weak children. Methods A total of 72 children and adolescents aged 6-12 years were assessed using bone age and a questionnaire. Results Between heathy and weak children, notable differences were observed in milk intake, fecal form, cold frequency, physical activity, and parasomnia. Congenital and acquired factors with adult height prediction (AHP) using multiple linear regression analyses had a predictive power of 26.9%. Among the acquired factors, physical activity, cold frequency, height recognition, and height expectation influenced AHP. Parents perceived exercise as less disruptive to their children’s growth compared to eating habits, genetics, or sleep. Conclusions Physical activity differs in both its actual influence and how it is perceived. It plays an important in the management of weak children.
