이 연구는 배구경기에서 공격자의 스파이크 서브와 일반 서브에 따른 리시버의 시선 조절 전략의 차이를 비교‧분석하여 리시버의 스파이크 서브 리시브 정확성을 향상시키기 위한 지각기술 훈련 프로그램을 구성하기 위한 기초정보를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 대학배구팀에 소속되어 10년 이상의 경험을 가진 남자배구선수 6명과 배구경기 경험이 없는 남자 대학생 6명 총 12명이 실험에 참여하였다. 서브 형태는 스파이크 서브와 일반 서브로 구성하였으며, 피험자들은 무선 안구 움직임 추적 장치를 착용하고 두 가지 형태의 서브를 리시브하는 과제를 수행하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 리시버의 안구 움직임은 공격자가 서브를 위해 공을 공중으로 토스하는 순간부터 리시버가 서브된 공을 리시브하는 순간까지의 시간을 볼-토스 구간과 비행 구간으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 볼-토스 구간에서 숙련된 배구선수는 공격자의 어깨와 팔 영역에 시선을 고정하고, 초보자는 공 영역에 주로 시선을 두는 것으로 나타났으나 서브 형태에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 비행 구간에서 숙련자는 공격자의 서브 임팩트 이후 공을 추적하는 시간이 초보자에 비해 빠른 것으로 나타났으며, 공에 대한 일관된 안구의 추적 움직임이 발생하였다. 특히, 공의 속도가 빠른 스파이크 서브에서는 공을 리시브해야하는 순간 150-180ms 이전에 예측적 안구의 빠른 움직임으로 시선이 리시브가 이루어지는 지점으로 이동하는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The current investigation examined the different eye movements used by receiver's during spike serve reception in a volleyball game. Six expert and six novice players participated in the experiment. The server exhibited randomized sever techniques (spike and ordinary server technique) to receivers. The study required having seven perfect serves received by a receiver for data collection from mobile eye trackers to be able to measure/analyze receiver's eye movements. We analysed receiver eye movements, during the following time period: The time started when a server tossed a ball in the air in preparation to serve to a receiver and stopped when the receiver made contact with the ball. The time phase was classified into two categories: ball-toss phase and flight phase. The results indicated that expert players were more focused on the server's shoulder and arm region than novice players during the ball-toss phase and experts were faster at tracking a ball than novice players during the flight phase.
