본 연구는 중학생의 성취 목표성향에 대한 상호작용적 관점에서 성취 목표성향과 신체적 유능감 정보 간의 다차원적 관계를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구목적을 달성하기 위해, 총 472명의 중학생들이 연구에 참여하였으며, Duda와 Nicholls(1989)의 과제․자아 목표성향 설문지와 한국판 신체적 유능감 정보 척도(류민정, 2007)를 이용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 분석방법으로는 다변량 분산분석(MANOVA)과 정준상관분석(canonical correlation analysis)을 사용하였고, 분석결과, 첫째 남학생은 여학생에 비해 과제/자아 목표성향이 모두 높았으며, 모든 신체적 유능감 정보를 선호해서 사용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성취 목표성향과 신체적 유능감 정보 사이에는 다차원적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 성취 목표성향에 따른 상호작용 효과가 검증되었으며, 목표성향 그룹에 따른 신체적 유능감 정보는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 고과제 혹은 고자아 목표성향을 가진 학생은 저 과제/자아 성향의 학생보다 대부분의 신체적 유능감 정보를 더욱 선호하는 것으로 나타났으며, 고과제이면서 고자아 목표성향을 보이는 학생들이 다른 그룹에 비해 대부분의 신체적 유능감 정보를 더욱 활용하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 성취 목표성향과 신체적 유능감 정보에 관련된 선행연구들을 바탕으로 비교․논의되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate achievement goal orientation and physical competence information of middle school students. Also the relationship of two variables was evaluated. In order to achieve the study purpose, the data was collected from 472 students including 195 man and 277 woman using Task and Ego Orientation in Sport Questionnaire (TEOSQ) developed by Duda and Nicholls (1989) and the Korean version of Physical Competence Information Scale (KPCIS) developed by Lyu (2007). For analysis, MANOVA and canonical correlation analysis were used. The conclusions were as follows: Men scored themselves higher than women in task/ego goal orientation and all factors of physical competence information. Second, there was the complex relationship between goal orientation and physical competence orientation. Higher students in task and ego orientation preferred and used all physical competence information when they evaluated if they succeed the performance purpose. Higher students in task orientation and lower in ego orientation preferred interest information in sport performance and victory information in game, on the other hand lower students in task and higher in task preferred and used the information of peer comparison. Third, students group who had all higher in task and ego orientation preferred to use most of physical competence information compared with other groups.
