<영영전>의 글쓰기 전략과 ‘치유’적 의미 - <운영전>과의 비교 대조를 통해 -

본 논문은 <영영전>에 나타나는 ‘글쓰기 전략’과 ‘치유’적 의미에 주목하였다. 이를 정리하자면, <영영전>은 <운영전>에서 빚어진 마음의 상처와 결핍, 그 우울한 색채를 벗고 ‘치유’를 담아내며, 보다 긍정적인 서사를 끌어내고자 한 이야기임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 상처들을 치유하기 위해 <영영전>은 세 가지의 치유방식을 구사해 내었다. 첫째, <운영전>의 비극을 소멸시키고, 행복을 찾아내었다는 점, 둘째, ‘정서적 따뜻함’과 ‘교감’으로 긴장과 갈등을 해소해 낸다는 점, 셋째, 억눌린 감정에 대한 ‘드러내기’를 통해 욕망을 해소한다는 점 등이 그것이다. 이 치유적 성격을 구체화하기 위해 <영영전> 작가는 두 가지 방식의 전략적 글쓰기를 시도했다. 하나는 감각적이면서 감정에 반응하는 현실지향적 세계관을 서사 속에 풀어 놓은 것이다. 이는 <영영전> 작품만의 독특한 분위기를 형성해 내며, <영영전>의 치유적 성격을 잘 녹여내는 역할을 한다. 또 하나는 <운영전>과는 대척점에 선 키워드를 교묘하게 작품 속에 배열하여, <운영전>과는 전혀 다른 작품의 의미를 구축해 내었음이다. 즉 ‘애정 장애’ 장소로서의 ‘수성궁’을 춘삼월, 애정이 꽃피는 공간 ‘상사동’으로 대체하고, ‘죽음’이라는 비극성을 ‘결연’이라는 해피엔딩으로 풀어내었으며, ‘탈출’과 ‘저항’이라는 몸부림 대신 세상에 순응하고 소통하는 방식을 택했던 것이다. 이러한 전략적 글쓰기가 <영영전>의 독특한 미감인 ‘감성적’ 색채를 끌어내며, <영영전>의 치유 과정을 잘 드러낸다.
Abstract
This article took attention for the ‘feminine writing style’ which appears on the <Yeongyeongjeon>. The writing styles appears on the <Yeongyeongjeon> are sorted to 2 types; First, <Yeongyeongjeon>, comparison to <Woonyeong Jeon>’s critical narration style, has quite sense-oriented narration. Second, <Yeongyeongjeon> is ‘desire oriented’ narration which actively chases main character’s desire, and vent her feelings, whereas <Woonyeong jeon> is conservative about emotions. Third, while <Woonyeongjeon> strongly shows the Confusian morality which puts emphasis on the ‘faith’ and ‘loyalty’, instead, <Yeongyeongjeon> actively shows the feelings every human has; joy, sadness, and fear. It show’s the writer’s serious view of the realistic world. Above tactics is the reflect of feministic thinking which <Woonyeongjeon> lacks of. In result, <Yeongyeongjeon> generates more various and plentifyl images than <Woonyeongjeon> does. Meanwhile, regarding that it is nature to read <Woonyeongjeon> and <Yeongyeong jeon> together connectively, it appeared both works’ core key-words were helpful to understand them: ‘Soo-seong goong’ and ‘Sang-sa dong’ ; ‘Death’ and ‘Connection’ ; ‘Prince An-pyeong’ and ‘Wife of Hoi-sangun’ ; and ‘Escape’ and ‘Adaptation’. Finally, dreadful authority of ‘Prince An-pyeong’ in <Woonyeongjeon> disappears when ‘Wife of Hoi-sangun’ said “How could I let him die in grudge only because I cherish Yeongyeong?”. This is the most tactiacal line in <Yeongyeongjeon> which at antipode with <Woonyeongjeon>. Like so, <Yeongyeongjeon>’s factors appears to heal the lack of love in <Woonyeongjeon>. <Yeongyeongjeon> is the work to satisfy the deficiency of <Woonyeongjeon>. More over, also it would be the writer’s intention to seek a way to communicate with the world instead of resistance in that <Woonyeongjeon>’s fierce conflict changes into conformity to destiny. <Yeongyeongjeon>, a totally new story from <Woonyeongjeon>, is a ‘healing literature of <Woonyeongjeon> in that it changed <Woonyeongjeon>’s ‘deficiency’ and ‘resistance’ into ‘satisfaction’ and ‘communication’.
