본 연구의 목적은 이중양분선택형 조건부가상가치평가법(DB-DC CVM)을 이용하여 중소규모 지역축제인 함양산삼축제의 경제적 가치를 평가하는데 있다. 가치평가를 위해 사용된 변수는 지불의사 동의여부, 제시금액, 방문횟수, 성별, 연령, 교육수준, 직업, 월소득수준, 거주지, 축제의 필요성, 지속적으로 유지하는 것에 대한 찬성과 반대, 전반적인 만족도 등 이다. 설문조사는 2010년 7월 23일부터 7월 27일까지 축제 방문객을 대상으로 1:1조사를 진행하였으며, 조사한 설문지 210부 중 유효한 설문지 총 192부가 분석에 사용되었다. 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 방문횟수, 필요성, 만족도, 유지필요성, 거주지가 지불의사에 영향을 주는 변수로 나타났다. 둘째, 분석결과 1인당 지불의사액(WTP)은 10,389원으로 산출되었다. 셋째, 비시장가치를 추정한 결과 함양산삼축제는 연간 24억 1천만원의 가치가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to assess the economic value of the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival using the Double-Bounded Dichotomous Choice Contingent Valuation Method(DB-DC CVM). Variables employed in the assessment were, among other factors, willingness to pay, actual monetary amounts shown, number of visits, gender, age, educational level, job, monthly income level, place of residence, necessity for the festival, agreement or opposition with the festival's continuation, and overall satisfaction with the event. The survey interviews were conducted on July 23-27, 2010 with festival attendees as respondents. 192 out of 210 surveys were judged as admissible and used in the analysis. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, willingness to pay was shown to have a significant link with number of visits, necessity,agreement to the festival's continuation, and place of residence. Second, results generated by CVM showed that the average amount each individual was willing to pay was 10,389 KRW. Third, the total economic value of the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival was a 2,410,000,000 KRW in bases other than market value.
