창의성 교육에 대한 사회적 수요가 급속히 늘고 있다. 비판적 사고와 논리 그리고 글쓰기 등을 함양하는 대학의 기존 소형 토론 수업 역시 창의성 교육으로의질적 변화를 요구받고 있다. 창의적 교수법은 교수방법이 창의적이란 의미도 있지만 궁극적으로는 학생의창의성 함양을 전제로 한다. 이를 위해서는 교수 중심에서 참가자 중심 수업(PCE)으로의 패러다임 전환과 확산적 사고를 통한 창의적 문제해결 방식 도입이필수적이다. 이 논문에서는 창의적 교수법에 대한 다양한 이론적 배경과 근거, 그리고 창의적 교육의 선구자인 미국의 리버럴아츠칼리지(LAC)의 수업방식을 소개하였다. 또한 우리 실정에 맞는 창의성 교수법의 하나로 직소(Jigsaw)모델을 활용한 실전전략도 아울러 서술하였다. 창의성이 사회의 화두인 만큼 이 논문이 향후 본격화될 융합적 혹은 다중 지능적 접근법 등 다양한 창의적 교수법 심층 논의와 토론의 출발점이 되고자 하였다.
Abstract
Once creativity was thought as a genius who may change the world. In these days, every business company is vehement supporters of thecreativity. They want to attract creative minds, whether domestic orforeign. The so-called creative workers seems to have problem-solvingabilities, creativity, talent, and intelligence. Such development in asking human creativity is accelerated by theincreasing demand on change of teaching strategies in colleges oruniversities. They are creative teaching strategies. Creative learning and teaching make students get basic skills such asreading, writing or critical thing, but also creative ideas and power ofexecution. Now the creative methods can provide more pressure onprofessors. They should be creative and even understand all thesituation of each students. Generally, creative learning and teaching system is on some hypothesesas follows:1) A paradigm shift from traditional professor(teacher)-centered toparticipants(students)-centered education. 2) A self directed learning by students themselves. It means that theroles of professor should be a coordinator or guide of the learningprocess. 3) Multidisciplinary approach is indispensable. Professors makestudent think differently and bring the multi-sensory approach toeducation. That are beneficial for all students. 4) Creative Problem Solving is essential in teaching and learningprocess. CPS by Alex Osborn and Sidney Parnes help students redefinethe problems and take action in creative ways. In these days, we are in process of enabling discussions on creativeteaching methods.
