텔레비전드라마 속 노년과 청년의 연대와 그 가능성 -<나빌레라>와 <눈이 부시게>를 중심으로-

<나빌레라>와 <눈이 부시게>는 노년과 청년 세대를 나란히 주인공으로 소환하여 두 세대를 동등하게 그리고 있다는 점에서 주목된다. 이 글은 '노년과 청년 드라마'로서 두 드라마가 치매 소재를 신파적으로 소비하지 않은 방식, 노년과 청년을 연결하고 두 세대의 소통과 공감을 그리는 방식을 살펴보고자 하였다. 나아가 두 드라마가 왜 노년과 청년을 함께 호출하고 있는지 그 이유와 의미를 고찰하는 것이 이 글의 궁극적인 목표이다. 분석 결과, <나빌레라>와 <눈이 부시게>는 치매의 노출을 의도적으로 지연하고 은폐함으로써 치매 노인 이야기를 넘어 노년과 청년을 함께 담아내고 있다. 두 드라마는 노년과 청년을 ‘잉여 세대’와 약자로서 동일시하고, 두 세대의 소통과 공감을 통해 연대와 그 가능성을 그리고 있다. 노인의 치매를 소재로 하면서도 두 드라마는 비극적인 노년 드라마를 지양하고, 노년과 청년 세대의 연대와 그 가능성을 보여주는 희망적이고 판타지적인 노년과 청년 드라마를 지향한다. 그렇게 <나빌레라>와 <눈이 부시게>는 노년과 청년으로 대변되는 이 시대 약자들을 위로하는 드라마가 될 수 있었다. 이것이 두 드라마가 노년과 청년 두 세대를 함께 소환한 이유이자 의미이다.
Abstract
The <Navillera(like a butterfly)> and <Nooni Booshige(The Light in Your Eyes)> are noted in that they portray the two generations equally by summoning the elderly and the young generations side by side as the main characters. This study aims to examine the way the two dramas don’t consume dementia materials melodramatically, connect the elderly and the young, and draw communication and empathy of the two generations as ‘the elderly and the young television-dramas’. Furthermore, the ultimate goal of this study is to examine the reason and meaning of why the two dramas are calling the elderly and the young together. As a result of the analysis, the <Navillera(like a butterfly)> and <Nooni Booshige(The Light in Your Eyes)> capture the elderly and the young together beyond the story of the elderly with dementia as intentionally delaying and concealing the exposure of dementia. The two dramas identify the elderly and the young as ‘the surplus generation’and the weak and draw solidarity and its possibility through communication and empathy between the two generations. While basing on dementia of the elderly, the two dramas avoid tragic the elderly television-dramas and aim for a hopeful and fantasy the elderly and the young television-dramas that show the solidarity and its possibility of the elderly and the young generations. As such, <Navillera(like a butterfly)> and <Nooni Booshige(The Light in Your Eyes)> can be dramas that comfort the weak in this era, represented by the elderly and the young. This is the reason and meaning that the two dramas summon the elderly and the young generations together.
