본 연구는 모델전공 대학생들을 대상으로 진로장벽과 학업지연행동과의 관계에서 진로정체감, 진로탄력성, 진로그릿의 매개효과검증을 알아보고자 하였다. 서울⋅경기⋅경상도 지역 4개의 대학교에 재학중인 모델전공 245명을대상으로 확률표본추출법 중에서 편의표본 추출법을 사용하여 표본을 추출하였다. 이후 SPSS 29.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, 요인분석 다중회귀분석, 상관관계분석, t-검증 및 부트스트래핑(bootstrapping) 기법을 활용하여 매개효과 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주요 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 변인간 차이(성별, 학제, 소속사 유무, 쇼경험유무)에서는 유의미한 결과가 나타났다. 둘째, 진로장벽과 학업지연행동과의 관계는정적인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진로정체감, 진로탄력성, 진로그릿과 학업지연행동과의 관계에서는 진로그릿과 부적(-)인 관계인 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 진로장벽과 학업지연행동과의 관계에서 진로탄력성과 진로그릿은 매개역할을하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 모델전공자들이 진로장벽으로 인해 겪는 학업지연행동을 완화하는 방법에 대한 후속연구의 근거를 제공하고자 하며, 진로교육과 진로상담에 필요한 방안 모색을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 연구의 가치가 있다고 사료된다.
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between career barriers and academic procrastination among college students majoring in modeling, and to examine the mediating effects of career identity, career resilience, and career grit. A sample of 245 modeling major students from four universities in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gyeongsang regions was selected using convenience sampling among the probability sampling methods. Subsequently, data analysis was conducted using SPSS 29.0, including frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, multiple regression analysis, correlation analysis, t-tests, and bootstrapping techniques for mediating effect verification. The results of the study are as follows. Firstly, significant differences were found in the variables based on key demographic characteristics (gender, academic discipline, affiliation with an agency, and prior modeling experience). Secondly, the relationship between career barriers and academic procrastination was statically significant. Thirdly, career grit showed a negative relationship with academic procrastination among the relationships with career identity, career resilience, and career grit. Fourthly, in the relationship between career barriers and academic procrastination, career resilience and career grit played a mediating role. Therefore, this study provides a foundation for subsequent research on methods to alleviate academic procrastination caused by career barriers among modeling majors. It is deemed valuable for offering basic data to explore measures needed for career education and counseling.
