開化期 辭說時調의 장르 批評的 考察

개화기 사설시조는 다양한 신문, 잡지에 74편이 발표되어 개화기 문학에서 중요한 역사적 장르로 자리잡고 있다. 양식면에서 중장의 장형화, 종장 2구의 장형화, 4장구조가 두드러지는데, 이는 敍事의 확대, 敷衍 및 강조, 의미구조의 外延 등의 효과를 거두고 있다. 4행 시조인 新國風 시조는 육당의 근대시조 개신을 위한 독창적 양식이었다. 이념면에서는 斥邪思想을 바탕으로 한 현실비판 의식이 주축을 이루며, 이를 위해 은유, 풍자, 과장, 인유의 수사법이 동원되고 있다. 崇高美와 悲壯美의 미의식이 현저하나 喜劇美는 소멸되었다. 개화기 사설시조는 장르적 親緣性을 갖고 자유시 형성에 기여하였다. 개화기 사설시조는 英正朝 사설시조와 마찬가지로 轉形期的 장르, 민중적 장르, 비판적 장르의 속성을 具有하며 개화기 시대상황에 적극적으로 대응하였다. 이런 점에서 사설시조의 文學과 社會의 相同關係를 다시 한번 재확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
Seventy-four pieces of Sasulsijo were composed in the enlighten- ment period through the multiple journalism. The Sasulsijo was a main historical genre among the poetry of the age. The distinctive features of form are the full-length of second line and second foot of third line and the four-line stanza. They take aim at the enlargement of narration, the effect of expatiation and the extension of structure. The Singugpung is the new sijo of four-line stanza. It is a original genre which Choi, Nam-sun called into being. The Sasulsijo directed to the critical consciousness of history and called out the metaphor, satire, overstatement and citation. The aesthetic senses of Sasulsijo are the sublimity and pathetics. The Sasulsijo had an effect on the creation of modern Korean free verse. The Sasulsijo had the characteristics of the transformal, democratic and critical genre. It coped with the historical situation of that age.
