초록
崔恒(1409～1474)은 뛰어난 文人이자 語學者였다. 일생 동안 30여 편의 著述로써 世宗～成宗代의 주요한 國家的 事業 遂行에 크게 기여하였는데, 이 글에서는 그의 韻學的 業績들이 어떠한 과정을 거쳐 나오게 되었는지에 초점을 맞추어 고찰하였다.최항은 高麗史東國通鑑經國大典 등 국가 통치의 根幹이 되는 著述의 편찬뿐만 아니라, 蠶書 諺譯, 御製武經兵書 口訣 등 實用書의 편찬에도 참여하였다.그는 특히 音訓 註解에 精通하였던 바, 資治通鑑資治通鑑綱目의 訓義書 편찬에 참여하여 修練한 韻學的 認識을 바탕으로 龍飛御天歌를 註解하였으며, 이를 더욱 발전시켜 東國正韻 편찬, 初學字會 諺註 등 韓國漢字音의 표준화 및 漢字 初學書 편찬에도 크게 이바지하였다.
Abstract
Choi, Hang(1409～1474) was a great writer and linguist of Chosun Dynasty. He made a great contribution to the national principal enterprises with his thirty or more life works during the period of King Sejong's reign and next five King's reign. This paper aims to discuss his phonological works focusing on the process of scholarly attainments.He participated in editing books of the bases for ruling a state such as The History of Goryeo Dynasty(高麗史), Dong-guk-tong-gam(東國通鑑), The Canon for Administrating a State(經國大典) and also participated in editing books for practical use such as A Book for Silk-reeling Industry(蠶書), The Scripture for Military Arts by His Majesty(御製武經) and A Book on Strategy(兵書).Specially he was well informed on annotation of the sound and meaning for Chinese characters. On the basis of phonological under- standing obtained in the process of participating in editing an annotated edition of Ja-chi-tong-gam(資治通鑑) and Ja-chi-tong-gam-gang-mok(資治通鑑綱目), he annotated Yong-bi-eo-cheon-ga(龍飛御天歌), and expanded his experiences into editing the Correct Sounds of Sino-Korean(東國正韻) and Cho-hak-ja-hoe(初學字會). So he contributed to the standardi- zation of Sino-Korean and the elementary education of the sound and meaning for Chinese characters greatly.
