共鳴度 및 關聯 音韻 現象에 대한 音聲學的 接近
Phonetic Approach to Sonority and Its Related Phonological Phenomena

共鳴度는 소리의 상대적 크기라는 속성상 분명한 音聲學的 尺度를 지니고 있지 못하며, 분절음 연쇄에 대한 共鳴度 制約은 歸納的 추론의 結果物이라는 점에서 音韻 現象의 動機로 여기기가 어렵다. 본고는 공명도 제약을 유보한 채 音聲學的인 측면에 중심을 두고 관련 음운 현상을 검토하였다. ‘ㄹ→ㄴ’ 現象은 未破音-彈舌音 연쇄를 해소하기 위하여 탄설음을 [-지속성]으로 변화시킨 현상으로, 順行的 流音化는 齒槽舌側音-齒槽閉鎖音 연쇄의 후행음을 발음할 때에 설측을 완전하게 폐쇄하지 않는 조음상의 동기를 지닌 현상으로 이해된다. 鼻音化와 逆行的 流音化는 음성적인 측면과 음소적 측면이 모두 고려되어야 하는 역행적인 현상이다. 鼻音化는 微波障碍音-共鳴音 연쇄에서 선행음의 [+유성성] 유지를 위하여 공명음으로 바꿀 때 공명강 확보를 위한 현상으로 이해되며, 逆行的 流音化는 調音位置와 [공명성]의 자질값을 공유하는 연쇄의 [지속성]이 이유를 제공한 것으로 이해된다.
Abstract
Sonority can not measured clearly by phonetic criteria owing to its characteristic of relativeness. Nor can Sonority Constraint on the segmental sequences be considered as a motive of some phonological penomena because it is just a result of inductive reasoning from phenomena themselves. So suspending this constraint, this paper examined related phenomena from the viewpoint of phonetics. Substitution of ‘ɾ→n' is regarded as process changing flaps to [-continuatnt] in order to resolve impossibility of sequences of nonreleased consonant and flap. Progessive lateralization is regarded as process having articulatory motivation that the lateral sides of tounge are not completely closed in the sequences of coronal lateral and coronal stop. Nasalization is regarded as regressive process that in the sequences of nonreleased voiced obstruent and sonorant the former obstruent turns into sonorant for the preservation of its voicedness. Regressive lateralization concerns [continuant] in sequences of consonants with same articulatory place and same value of [sonorant].
