본 硏究는 한국어 교재인 『결혼이민자와 함께하는 한국어 1~6』(2010~2012)의 使用 現況을 조사하고, 다문화가족지원센터 敎師와 學習者들의 要求를 알아봄으로써 향후 본 교재의 改善 方案과 方向을 提案해 보고자 하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 본 조사는 全國 30곳의 多文化敎育 기관에서 한국어를 가르치고 있는 현직 韓國語敎師 11명을 대상으로 하는 深層面談調査와 한국어 수업을 받고 있는 結婚移住女性과 그 외의 外國人 한국어 학습자 126명을 대상으로 한 設問調査로 이루어졌다. 그 결과 敎材 內 單元들의 主題와 內容에서 변화된 한국 사회의 다문화 모습과 인간관계를 반영해 달라는 요구가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 학습자들을 위한 학습 補助敎材에 대한 요구가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 그 외에도 교재 부분별로 보다 다양한 활동과 자료가 필요하다는 요구가 적지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 조사 결과는 앞으로 多文化家庭을 위한 韓國語 敎材를 개발하는 데 基礎資料로 활용될 수 있을 것이라고 본다.
Abstract
The present study investigated the use of “Korean language for Marriage- based Immigrants 1 to 6 (2010-2012),” the Korean textbooks most widely used in multicultural family support centers and Korean language education centers for marriage-based immigrants throughout Korea. It surveyed the needs of learners and teachers at multicultural family support centers, aiming to create suggestions for textbook improvements or development. In-depth interviews were conducted with 11 teachers currently teaching Korean language at multicultural education centers in 30 locations across the country. A total of 126 immigrant women and foreigners learning Korean were surveyed with a questionnaire. The survey results demonstrated that, in terms of textbook topic and contents, teachers and learners require that the textbooks reflect recent changes in the multicultural aspects and human relationships of the present-day Korean society; the participants also expressed a great need for supplementary learning materials for students. In addition, more diverse activities and materials are needed for each section of the textbooks. These survey findings will serve as basic data for further developing Korean textbooks that are more customized to the needs of multicultural families in the future.
