『朴通事新釋(諺解)』의 간행에 대한 一考察

Abstract

The first thing for the study on materials in Korean language history is the accurate examination of the texts. This paper tries to clarify the fact that two books, Baktongsa-sinseok and Baktongsa- sinseok-eonhae were revised two times, in 1765 and 1795, by looking into several records about the publication of them. Baktongsa-sinseok and Baktongsa-sinseok-eonhae were revised by Kim, Chang-jo, based on『Baktongsa』and published as block books in Pyeongyang. These were moved to Sayeok-won and reprinted as an edition for registration(板下本) in 1795 by Byeon Heon, of which the revised contents were about the pronunciation of Chinese Character. The damaged part of Pyeongyang edition was supplemented or revised. Volume 1 was still maintaining the original form of Pyeongyang edition, while volume 2 and 3 were partly revised. In this process, the style of writing was transformed into the then current style. The difference of the pronunciation of Chinese Character reflects the fact that Popular Chinese Pronunciation(俗音) was preferable to Standard Chinese Pronunciation(正音) for the convenient communication.
