이 논문은 鄭芝溶의 詩에 나타난 空間의 특성을 연구하였다. 여기서 주목한 정지용의 詩的 空間은 ‘바다’, ‘故鄕’, ‘都市’, ‘山’ 등이다. ‘바다’라는 공간은 西歐的 文明의 媒介體로 인식된다. ‘고향’이라는 공간은 本來的이고 原形的 공간에서, 外部 世界와의 소통이 차단된 孤立의 공간으로 변화된다. ‘도시’라는 공간은 期待와 希望의 공간에서, 閉鎖的인 孤立의 공간으로 변화된다. ‘산’은 東洋的 精神을 드러내는 隱逸의 공간이다. 정지용의 詩에 나타난 詩的 空間의 변화는 자신의 體驗을 바탕으로 이루어진 것이다. 이러한 공간 변화는 그가 詩의 完成을 향해 치열하게 탐구한 결과이기도 하다. 그리고 정지용은 ‘山’이라는 空間을 통해 東洋的 精神世界를 추구한다. 정지용이 동양적 정신세계로 歸着했다는 것은 단순한 復古的 傳統으로의 回歸가 아니다. 그것은 近代文物의 體驗, 고향과 도시의 體驗을 거쳐 再創造된 傳統이라는 점에서 詩史的 意義를 지닌다.
Abstract
A Study on the Experience and the Space Shown in the Poem of Jung, Ji-yong Lee, Tae-hyee This thesis studied the characters of the space shown in the poem of Jung, Ji-yong. The poetic space which was considered in his poem is the sea, the homeland, the city, and the mountain. The space of see is recognized as media which shows the western culture. The space of homeland, which was originally the space of the origination of itself is changed into the isolated space which has no interaction with outside world. The space of the city which represents the image of expectation and hope is changed into the space which makes someone tired. The space of mountain means the space showing the oriental spirit. The change of poetic space in his poem depends on his experience. The special change in his poem means that he has tried to inquire something to complete his poems. So the meaning of the space of mountain in his poem is the pure psychological poetic space which he wants to achieve as well as the oriental spiritual world. His returning to oriental spiritual world hasn't the only meaning of his returning to the simple restorational tradition. It has the meaning of recreated culture through his experience of current culture, and the common life.
