이 연구는 孤山 尹善道의 時調를 대상으로 그가 이룩한 美學的 成就를 구체적으로 탐구하고 그 位相과 價値를 온당하게 규명하는데 목적을 두었다. 그 결과 고산의 삶과 문학의 관계를 辨證法的 논리로 이해해서는 안 된다는 점과, 그의 時調 美學은 樂人으로서의 儒家的 歌樂觀을 바탕으로 접근해야 올바로 드러낼 수 있음을 밝혔다. 작품의 엄격한 形式規律은 높은 정신세계와 情感 鍛鍊의 양식화를 보인 것이고, 儒家的 道와 理念을 예술적으로 승화시켜 ‘典雅한 아름다움’을 텍스트 美學으로 창출했음을 살폈다. 連時調라는 독특한 樣式을 창조하고, 순수국어미를 활용함으로써 理念경험과 美感경험이 일체화된 美의 최고 경지에 도달했음을 밝혔다. 고산의 시조는 退溪나 松江, 李鼎輔와는 달리 言志나 載道, 緣情의 세 가지 詩的 要素의 어느 쪽에도 치우치지 않는 絶妙한 융합을 보임으로써 儒家美學이 보일 수 있는 최고의 品格을 구현했음을 규명했다.
Abstract
This thesis which dealt with Gosan(孤山) Yoon, Sundo(尹善道)'s shijo(時調) brilliant in our literary history tried to concretely explore his aesthetic achievement and examine its phase and value reasonably. For that, it overcame the problems of existing studies and tried to give a new interpretation on it. As a result, it clarified that the relation between his life and literature should not be understood with dialectic logic and that his shijo aesthetics could correctly be revealed only if it is approached based on his Confucian view of song and music as a musician. It indicated that the strict formal rules in his works showed stylizing high spiritual world and sentiment training and that he created 'elegant beauty' as textual aesthetics by sublimating Confucian way and ideology artistically. Also, it made clear that he reached the highest stage of beauty where an ideological experience was united with an aesthetic one by creating a peculiar style called Yunshijo(連時調) and using pure Korean beauty.
