국어사전에서의 한자어 표제어 형태 분석 정보 제시 방안 – 『표준국어대사전』을 중심으로

본고는 『표준국어대사전』을 중심으로 국어사전에서 한자어 표제어의 형태 분석 정보를 합리적으로 제시할 수 있는 방안을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 한자어의 경우에는 형태소가 아닌 기능소를 분석의 단위로 삼을 필요가 있음을 확인하였다. 다음으로 현행의 형태 분석 지침을 비판적으로 검토한 뒤 개선된 지침을 제안하였다. 이때 음절 수를 기준으로 하여 2음절 한자어와 3음절 이상 한자어를 구분한 뒤 각각의 유형에서 드러나는 특징적인 양상을 지침에 반영하고자 하였다. 아울러 두음 법칙의 적용 여부를 고려하여 지침이 어문 규범에 부합할 수 있도록 하였다. 이러한 본고의 연구는 국어사전이 표제어의 형태 분석 정보를 보다 체계적이고 직관적으로 제공하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study aimed to explore ways to present information on morphological analysis for Sino-Korean headwords in Korean dictionaries, focusing on the Standard Korean Dictionary (표준국어대사전). The findings suggest that, in the case of Sino-Korean words, function units, rather than morphemes, should serve as the primary unit of analysis. Drawing on a critical review of the current morphological analysis guidelines, the study proposed improved guidelines to differentiate between disyllabic Sino-Korean words and those with three or more syllables based on syllable count, incorporating their distinctive patterns into the guidelines. Additionally, the guidelines were designed to comply with orthographic norms by considering the application of the word-initial rule (두음법칙). This research contributes to presenting information on morphological analysis in Korean dictionaries in a more systematic and cognitively intuitive manner.
